DESIGN WITH PURPOSE
DESIGN TO INSPIRE
Sveta—Visual Designer and Artist based in San Francisco. Two decades, multiple industries—entertainment, fintech, experimental spaces—working at the intersection of fine art and commercial design.
 Design Process
I see the whole system before I touch a pixel—and I hold it to one standard from first sketch to final build. That means working closely with stakeholders and engineers at every step, not just at the end. Below are the essential steps of my process, built to keep design and development in sync.
Roadmap
I translate brand and product objectives into structured roadmaps that set clear scope and direction. Working with project managers and stakeholders, I lead user research across functional domains, define success metrics, and align timelines—so information architecture and execution stay in sync from day one.
Concept
Whether launching a new brand or reworking an existing one, I set the aesthetic direction that defines how a product looks and feels. I turn a creative vision into a visual system—color, type, imagery, motion—that gives the brand a specific point of view instead of a generic one.
Visual Identity
I build the visual and UI systems that carry a brand across every touchpoint—typography, color, iconography, layout. Iconography in particular becomes its own visual language: a small set of marks that reads consistently whether it's on a splash screen or a settings menu.
UI UX Design
I build experience frameworks through research, interviews, and journey mapping—aligning product vision with user needs into concrete interaction patterns. From there, I set the behavioral rules a design system runs on—pattern libraries, layout templates, and navigation logic—so moving through the product never feels like switching apps.
Design Handoff
I deliver systems developers can build from directly—asset libraries, documented components, specs matched to technical constraints. Working with engineering, I turn design decisions into production-ready code, so nothing gets reinterpreted or rebuilt from scratch on the way to release.
Work
A curated set of projects across gaming, fintech, UX systems, and experimental work, showing how a concept becomes a shippable system. From interaction patterns and design systems to fine art and spatial design, the work spans digital products and physical space.
Gaming
I started as a UI artist in the video game industry, then moved into visual product design leadership. I've built style guides, visual systems, and player experiences across console, browser-based MMOs, and mobile—shipping individual game experiences alongside templates other teams reused across titles.
Fintech
I moved into fintech as mobile pushed banking from web to app. I've built design systems for financial products from the ground up—UI/UX frameworks, interaction patterns, visual language—for mobile banking apps, digital wallets, and payment platforms, where a broken pattern isn't just ugly, it costs a transaction.
UX Systems
I design large-scale UX systems through prototyping, user research, and testing. From global navigation to information architecture, I map experiences, test what works, and build custom UI toolkits. Working with engineering and product, I hand off specs detailed enough to implement without a follow-up meeting.
Experimental
Art and design have run in parallel for me since my MA in Graphic Design. My work ranges from marketing campaigns to large-scale fine-art prints and mixed-media paintings, to brand systems that carry graphics into physical space. New print technology and digital media are the current tools; the eye behind them hasn't changed.
