mobile gaming for mSG
During my time as a UI/UX Designer at Shiny Shoe Games, I had the opportunity to work on mini-games development for one of our clients, Madison Square Garden. Specifically, I was responsible for designing user interfaces for mobile mini-games and creating layouts for large displays at the arena for two of the most well-known sports teams in the world - the Rangers and the Knicks. Throughout this process, I was actively involved in the design execution, creating layouts and prototypes that showcased clear visual structures and effectively represented the MSG brand, while also incorporating unique stylizations to differentiate our mobile games. My primary focus was on developing a mobile template that would provide a seamless experience for users as they transitioned from watching their favorite sports teams at the MSG Arena to playing mini-games on their devices during breaks. The ultimate goal was to provide users with a fun and rewarding experience, while also making it easy for them to earn swag and rewards.
UI design & styleguide
My main goal was to create a visual style guide for a web-based mini-gaming experience, capturing Ranger's unique style. This involved paying close attention to detail to develop a cohesive guide covering color schemes, typography, iconography, and UI elements. Taking a holistic approach was crucial to ensure that the design framework aligned with the game's goals, improved user experience, and met the needs of our players.
I dedicated my efforts to crafting a visual language that players would instantly recognize and find engaging. The style guide acted as a roadmap for consistency across all design elements, from the main interface to the tiniest icons. This careful design process was pivotal in delivering a final product that resonated with our players and showcased Ranger’s brand essence.
